Heaven’s Gates

Hell’s Flames

Oct 22nd-26th 2021

What is Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames?

“Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames” is a touring evangelistic drama that has been performed worldwide. It is based on an evangelical interpretation of the Gospel, and presents the message that one must believe in Jesus in order to be saved and go to Heaven, or face eternal punishment in Hell.
HGHF has been to FCFC several times over the past couple decades. Every time, we have seen hundreds of people come to know Jesus. We believe this year will be no different, especially as we intentionally cover all aspects in prayer.
This program is put on 100% by the people of FCFC and we foresee the impact this will have on Warren County will be huge.

Areas You Can Get Involved!

HGHF is a massive event that requires us as a church to come together as a team in a major way. You don’t have to be on stage to make an impact in the lives of people in Warren Country. Below is a list of various areas. Read through them, and see what area you are most drawn to. Then, you can use the form below to sign up for a specific area, or just sign up for any area that still needs help.

HGHF is made up of several small skits where actors portray real life events where people from all walks of life die, and make their transition to Heaven or Hell. Every year all types of people ranging from those who have never acted in their life to others who love plays and have done acting in the past sign up.

Being on stage may not be your thing, and that is ok! This drama is a full scale production including lights, videos and special effects, all of which need someone to make sure each cue is hit correctly.

Our media team is responsible for two things. One, the video and audio of the actual production and two, a crew running around the campus gathering photos and video with the church’s equipment to ensure we are able to keep the memory of the event we are doing.

Just like our church service on the weekends, we want parents to be able to give their full attention to the drama. For this reason, we will be holding kids ministry in our upstairs area to serve kids ages 8 and under.  We will need a group of adults who love kids and want to pour into them, while the older members of their families are being poured into.

We know that life won’t stop for all the people who will be volunteering throughout the week. Many will be coming to help for the evening performances straight from work, school, etc.  Each night we will have a team of people who will be making dinner available at the campus so it is one less thing to worry about for those helping out.

At the end of each production, people in the audience will be given a chance to answer the call to give their life to Jesus. However, we don’t want it to end there. After they come forward, we bring them to our prayer room where people can pray one-on-one with every person. This helps provide a time to explain what just happened, what their next steps are, get personal prayer and develop a relationship with someone in the church.

There is nothing more frustrating than attending an event and the parking is a mess.  Our parking team helps direct people to make their entrance beforehand and exit afterwards a smooth process.  Not only that, as people are walking into the building, the parking team is often the first people from the church they interact with, which can set the stage for people to feel welcome.

The ministry starts before the production for the evening ever starts. For some people, this will be the first time they have ever been to a church, and we want to make sure the first thing they experience is peace and a loving group of people.  That’s where our greeters come in. Often a simple handshake and hello can make all the difference in the world.

At a large event like this, there are all kinds of people who will be coming through our doors. While it would be great if everyone’s motives were completely pure, we know in this world that is not always the case.  Our priority is to make sure that all in attendance stay safe. Our security team oversees all areas of the building before, during and after the production each night.

If you have seen HGHF before, you know that we completely change the setup of our stage. From large risers that hold numerous angels throughout the entirety of the show, to a Hell just to the left of the stage, there is a lot of construction that will need competent people who know how to build safe, large structures that will be the set for the show.

There is so much behind the scenes data entry that go into this event. Whether it is helping communicate with actors through out the week, or gathering info for those who became saved so we can follow up with them, this team helps make sure processes are created and info collected in a quick, smooth manner.
